Why I stopped watching TV and reading the newspaper.
The last time I voluntarily picked up and read a newspaper or actively watched the TV, the following was true:Michael Jackson was still alive and living somewhere in Bahrain (or Qatar) ¶ The 2008 Global Economic Crisis had not yet happened ¶ Taipei 101 was still the tallest structure on Earth ¶ Barack Obama had yet to decide to run for the Office of the President of the United States of America. ¶ Yes, it was in the year 2006 that I last touched the newspaper. Somewhere this year, 10 years would have gone by.
